The Killer Shrews (1959) REVIEW

This is another film from the "Horror Classics (50 Movie Pack)" I decided to see.

PLOT:

The captain of a ship (James Best) and his friend find an island that seems to be empty, after the captain finds a group of people in a house he discover that the island is infested by mutant Shrews that are hungry for human flesh.
They Have to learn how to work together and escape after the Shrews enter to the house and eat them alive...

There isn't much to say about the plot But there is a lot to say about this movie.

First, this movie is famous for using dogs to play the part of Shrews, a lot of people consider that the Shrews of this movie are the worst  movie monsters of all time, but trust me they're not, personally  I think that The Snow Creature's Yeti is the worst movie monster (Seriously, is just a guy in a coat!).

Also, this movie is  a companion piece to "The Giant Gila Monster" another great B-Movie, If you want to buy the two films, you can buy a double feature DVD which has the two films in color and also B&W version< Here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BSBBQW/ref=s9_simh_gw_p74_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=10ZT9WHH7Q31SEPKMAT4&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

Amazingly, there is a sequel planed for 2011! and starring James Best again!

I don't know why but I really liked this film, it's cheesy and it's very entertainment.

6/10!
